Rich in agriculture, with farms, cattle ranches and a growing viticulture industry, Penn Valley is a very nice place to live. Penn Valley features a very large park, Western Gateway Regional Park which features sporting, picnic and play ground areas, and a preforming arts pavilion. Close to Lake Englebright with 24 miles of shoreline and home of the beautiful Lake Wildwood, a gated Community with a 300 acre lake, tennis courts, golf course and a clubhouse, there is much to do in Penn Valley.
Not far from the little town of Penn Valley there is Bridgeport, a covered bridge built in 1862, which is actually the the longest single-span covered bridge in the nation!
This bridge runs across the Yuba River, a place many residents spend their weekends enjoying the sun, water, and all the surrounding beauty.
