The Benefits of My Buyer Services and Representation
When you chose a real estate agent you are choosing someone to help you with one of the biggest purchases you will probably ever make in your entire life. It is not a good choice to base this decision on who the agent knows or because they are nice and available at that moment. It is best to select an agent who genuinely cares about you as their client, has a strong understanding of home buying in the current market, and has taken the time to educate themselves.
Carol Willis has spent the last 27 years in Nevada County and is very familiar with the real estate market in both the unincorporated areas of Nevada County, and the main towns of Grass Valley and Nevada City. Carol has obtained her CRS, Certified Residential Specialist. A Certified Residential Specialist has been trained specifically to help you understand the market place, negotiate successfully on your behalf and get a clear picture of a proposed transaction, while minimizing any risks involved.
Carol also holds her GRI. A Graduate, Realtor® Institute, a nationally recognized professional real estate designation. It can only be earned after successfully completing a rigorous education program and testing requiring 92 hours of live course instruction, from a statewide faculty, selected because of extensive experience in specific areas of expertise.
Additionally, Carol holds the SRES®, Senior Real Estate Specialist® designation, which helps her to better understand the needs of seniors. With the SRES® Designation, it has been demonstrated that an agent has necessary knowledge and expertise to counsel clients age 50+ through major financial and lifestyle transitions in relocating, refinancing, or selling the family home.
Carol is ready to put her local knowledge and her education to work for you to make sure you find the right property at the right price, and that your transaction goes as smoothly as possible. She will start by finding out if you already have properties in mind, and determining your requirements. Although a good deal of information is available on various databases, Carol attends the weekly Nevada County MLS tours which give her valuable insight into the condition and features of the available properties in Nevada County.
When you are ready to start looking for a home or a piece of property, Carol can start her research, and preview to get a good selection of properties to view that fit your search criteria. Carol will help you to see aspects of the property that might not be apparent.
If your offer is accepted then the Escrow period starts. During this period there is a strict timetable to be followed, allowing both parties adequate time to arrange inspections and any necessary repairs. Carol will design a time line of events describing to you the details of how everything will go, keeping you on schedule.
With numerous deals successfully completed, Carol can help you negotiate this period and help you to understand the results of reports and inspections. Her local knowledge allows her to suggest resources that may come in handy during this period, including home inspectors, contractors and services you may need even after the close of escrow.
