About Carol Willis

Buying and Selling Real Estate involves many factors such as complex transactions, strategic marketing, skillful negotiating, contract knowledge, time management and good communication skills. As a client you need and deserve a full-time real estate professional who puts you and your best interests first at all times! Carol Willis is exactly the Realtor® you need to navigate you through every step of the real estate transaction.

Carol takes pride in her performance and it shows! She is a member of the Nevada County Association of Realtor’s® Masters Club. Not only does she have an extensive background in sales, marketing, strategies and negotiating skills but she also places strong value in her uncompromising work ethics.

“Embracing education is important! Housing markets, trends, technology and the needs and wants of buyers and sellers are always changing. In order to offer my clients top service I am always looking to increase my knowledge through additional education,” explains Carol.

Carol holds the exclusive CRS, Certified Residential Specialist Designation which is the most advanced designation awarded to Realtor’s® in the residential sales field. The CRS Realtor® must be a member of the National Association of Realtor’s® and abide by its strict code of ethics.  Every CRS designee must have a proven track record in the business, as well as advanced education in related areas such as finance, technology and marketing. Less than 5% of agents hold this designation.

GRI? A Graduate, Realtor® Institute is a nationally recognized professional real estate designation. It can only be earned after successfully completing a rigorous education program and testing requiring 92 hours of live course instruction, from a statewide faculty, selected because of extensive experience in specific areas of expertise.

Additionally, Carol holds the SRES®, Senior Real Estate Specialist designation. This designation helps Realtor’s® to better understand the needs of their senior clients. With the SRES® Designation, it has been demonstrated that an agent has the necessary knowledge and expertise to counsel clients age 50+ through major financial and lifestyle transitions in relocating, refinancing, or selling the family home. Having polished negotiating skills in every situation is important in order to ensure that your needs and wants are met and no money is ever left on the table at the close of escrow.

What do these designations equate to for a buyer or seller? In today’s competitive business environment and ever changing real estate market, additional education provides advantages for my clients. The more educated the Realtor® the better protected the client! As a dedicated, full-time professional Realtor® not only will I save you time and money when you are buying a home, I will increase your profit when selling property.

I have been an area resident for 28 years and I know the strengths of the community. The Sierra Foothills of Northern California is exactly the place I want to be! When I first arrived in Nevada County I worked with the Pleasant Ridge School District for 9 years. Although I had every desire to sell real estate, I first wanted to see my children through school. With that goal accomplished, I have been enjoying a terrific career in Real Estate after obtaining my license in 1998.

“The relationship a client has with their Realtor® should be a valuable one,” Carol explains. “If you have any real estate questions, please give me a call. Whether buying, selling, or just curious about the current housing market, I’m here to assist you in any way possible. I look forward to hearing from you!”
